My name
is Christina Marie Monti I am currently a junior at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. I am looking to seek certification
in elementary education.
I grew up
in a small town called Roxbury located in Western Connecticut. My mothers name is Lori and my fathers name is Vince. My parents
got divorced when I was 13 years old. My mother recently got remarried to my step-dad Greg. I have a younger sister named
Heather she is 14 years old. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats.
I graduated
from Shepaug Valley High School, June 2002. I am a part of an organization on campus called Kappa Phi Sigma. My sorority is
a local sorority on campus that works with Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Red Cross. We plan and organize school related
activities.
From an
early age I have always wanted to teach third grade. They say one person makes an impact on your life. Mrs. Tanner my third
grade teacher in elementary school had made an enormous impact on my life, not only was she incredible at her job she was
a role model for me growing up.
I have been
fortunate to work in schools and to work with children as it is my long term goal. Knowing that I have and will help a child
excel in their education process makes me feel complete. Whether it’s a child taking their first steps, first words
or even my sister learning the times tables with my help is breathtaking
Overall
I feel that education is my main goal, and look forward to progressing towards my teaching certification.
